THE SILK FOREST
The House of Ideas (Hugmyndahus) at Utgerdin in Reykjavik, Iceland gave me a studio to complete the Art Project i began during my 5 month Artist Residency with Sim (Samband Islenskra Myndlistarmanna), The Icelandic Association of Visual Artists. During my Residency at the Korpulfsstadir Artist studios i discovered that Hand Dyed Silk contains a latent image that is not visible to the naked eye.
I returned to Brooklyn New York, and continue making images in the Silk Project...
Then i returned to Iceland in 2012, and the Reykjavik Art Museum/Hafnarhus donated the Main Hall in the Museum to me to use as my studio, and i completed the Icelandic Silk Faerie Project.
